Pittsfield Mayor not seeking reelection

Pittsfield mayor Linda Tyer will not be seeking reelection.
That’s according to our media partners at the Berkshire Eagle.

Tyer is currently in her second term as mayor.
She has served in many roles, including city councilor, city clerk, and for the last eight years, mayor.
Tyer says she is deciding to step down for personal and political reasons.
She says she believes the highlight of her career was guiding the city through the pandemic.
Tyer will be leaving office at the end of her term in January 2024.
