Teen charged with terroristic threat
Student, 13, accused of threatening to shoot up Schenectady High School.
A 13-year-old is accused of threatening to “shoot up” Schenectady High School.
Schenectady Police said it was made aware of a threat posted on TikTok by a juvenile who said “I am going to shoot up school.”
New York State Police and the FBI passed on the information to local police. The threats were traced back to a Schenectady residence. Police searched the home and found no weapons.
The suspect was charged with making a terroristic threat.
Police are working closely with the school district and no additional threats have been identified.
