Police: Albany man fled from officers, crashed into building
An Albany man was arrested on Saturday for allegedly fleeing from police and crashing his car into a residence.
The Albany County Sheriff’s Office said Phillip Williams, 46, was pulled over for traffic violations. Williams was driving with a suspended license, according to a news release.
When asked to exit the vehicle, Williams took off and ultimately crashed into a residence in the area of Livingston Avenue and North Manning Boulevard, police said.
Williams was taken into custody. Police found cocaine, MDMA and Ketamine in his possession.
He was charged with three felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanors of reckless endangerment and criminal mischief.
Williams was transported to Albany Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries stemming from the crash. He was arraigned in Albany City Court.
