Police: Albany woman smashed car window during road rage incident

An Albany woman is accused of smashing a car’s window during a Thruway road rage incident.

Asani N. Brown, 22, got into a dispute with another driver on the afternoon of July 9, according to police. She allegedly drove recklessly and threw items at the vehicle.

Brown then stopped in front of the vehicle, police said. She then got out of the vehicle, approached the other driver’s window and struck it until it broke, police said.

Brown left before police arrived. She was later caught and charged with reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and several traffic violations.

She was released on an appearance ticket and is due in Albany City Criminal Court on Aug. 1.
