Police: Cobleskill cafeteria monitor had inappropriate conversations with middle school students

A 65-year-old cafeteria monitor at Cobleskill-Richmond schools has been arrested for allegedly having inappropriate conversations with students.
Paul G. Hallock, of Cobleskill, has been charged with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
State Police said troopers received a complaint on April 7 that Hallock had conversations “injurious to the mental and moral welfare of the children” with students at William H. Golding Middle School in Cobleskill. The conversations happened between October 2024 until February 2025, police said.
Hallock was arrested Thursday and sent to Schoharie County Jail pending arraignment.
Hallock has been placed on administrative leave. The district said Hallock has not been on school grounds since the district was first made aware of the concerns within the past week.
The district said that its Trauma, Illness, Grief Team and counseling staff are on hand to help any students.
