Police fire gun at teen during Schenectady call

An officer fired a gun at a 16-year-old girl during a call.
Schenectady Police were called to 1007 Strong Street around 7:20 Wednesday evening, for a fight.
A girl had a knife and refused to put it down, police said. They add, with negotiations underway, she ran towards officers.
An officer fired one shot, which missed the girl, police said. The girl was then tased and taken into custody.
She was taken to a hospital with what police think are self-inflicted injuries to her arm.
No one else was hurt, they said.
The girl’s name is not being released, due to her age.
