Keeping kids safe while at school is the goal of a conference in Saratoga Springs this week.
It’s put on by the Committee for Policing and Safeguarding Schools.
Police from all over the state are gathering to learn best practices for preventing and responding to school shootings.
One of those best practices shared with these school resource officers is the importance of establishing a rapport with the kids they see day in and day out.
Another is urging police, schools, and parents to collaborate.
Hear about why one of the featured speakers says this past year was a real eyeopener by watching the video of Mark Mulholland’s story.
