Police: Fulton County man damaged vehicles, property at business and home
A Fulton County man is accused of intentionally crashing his vehicle into another vehicle, pushing it into a building.
State Police said Raymond W. Matis, 53, of Saint Johnsville, allegedly drove his vehicle to a property in the area of Route 67 in Ephratah just after 8 a.m. on Wednesday. He intentionally struck an unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot, pushing it into the building, according to police.
Matis then entered the building and damaged items inside with a bat, police said.
The building houses both a business and a home, according to police. He is accused of damaging the business portion.
Matis knows the owner of the vehicles, but police are not disclosing the relationship to protect the privacy of the victim.
While troopers were on their way to the scene, Matis then allegedly struck another unoccupied vehicle with the bat, causing significant damage.
No one was injured during the incident.
Matis was charged with burglary and three counts of criminal mischief. He was transportation to Fulton County Jail to await arraignment.
