Police make arrest in Clinton Ave burglary in Albany
Albany Police tell us 34-year-old Jarred Goff of Albany was arrested and charged in connection with a burglary that happened on Clinton Avenue early Friday morning.
Investigation revealed that Goff entered Koinonia Health Care at 553 Clinton Avenue through a window and stole tools and cleaning supplies.
Police say this all happened around 1 a.m.
A short time after police took the burglary report at 11 a.m. Friday after responding to the scene, patrol officers in the area of Ontario Street and Second Street observed a person who matched the description of the suspect in connection to the burglary.
Police then stopped Goff and took him into custody.
Authorities say multiple tools and a quantity of crack cocaine were in his possession.
Goff was charged with third-degree burglary, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, petit larceny, and possession of burglar tools.
Albany Police say he was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
