Police: Woman threatened with long rifle while driving in Albany

A man pointed a semi-automatic long rifle at a woman driving in Albany, police said.

It happened in the 400 block of South Pearl Street just after 7:30 Thursday evening.

Jeffery Pitts, 52, told the driver he was homeless and needed a ride, the victim told police.

He was found on South Pearl Street with a weapon a short time later, and charged with weapons possession and menacing.
