Public health emergency declared after South Glens Falls fire

Village trustees have approved a resolution to declare a public health and safety emergency after last weekend’s fire, on Main Street.

The move will speed up removal of debris from the building.

The building, had most recently been a China Buffet restaurant, but had been vacant for several years.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
