Rangers find lost hiker in Stony Creek
Forest rangers found a 58-year-old Dutchess County hunter after the person got lost in the Adirondacks last week, the Department of Environmental Conservation said.
Rescuers were called on Wednesday at around 9:10 p.m. — more than five hours after the hunter was last seen in Stony Creek.
Nine rangers searched overnight and into the morning.
The person, who is from Pleasant Valley, had gotten lost behind the hunting club the previous evening.
The hunter hiked along a drainage culvert in the morning and ended up about one mile from the road.
