People living in Rensselaer and East Greenbush are being asked to reduce their water usage as much as possible.

The City of Rensselaer says the advisory is due to ongoing water maintenance at the Cross Street Pump Station in Troy.

Residents are advised to limit laundry and dishwasher use to only what is necessary.

This is expected to last the entire weekend.
