Report: Third Pittsfield school administrator placed on leave
A third administrator at Pittsfield High School has been placed on administrative leave in just over a week.
Molly West, one of the deans of students, is on leave, according to NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Berkshire Eagle.
The Eagle previously reported that another administrator, Vice Principal Alison Shepard, is on leave. Both administrative leaves are reportedly in connection with an investigation by the Department of Children and Families.
The other high school dean, Lavante Wiggins, was arrested last week in connection with alleged cocaine distribution.
The district is facing a lawsuit by a student who alleges she was sexually harassed by her English teacher Robert Barsanti, who retired in June.
NewsChannel 13’s Zach Richter spoke with a student who said that the school leadership is thinking of students despite all the turmoil.
