Retired Clifton Park pilot gives thoughts on DC crash

A retired pilot from Clifton Park said he would love to see hear the air traffic control transmissions leading up to Thursday’s fatal crash in Washington, DC.

Sam Barner has been flying single- and double-engine craft since 1966 and has accumulated around 11,000 hours of flight time. He’s also been a flight instructor and has flown out of Regan National Airport many times.

He said any theories he might have are educated speculation, which is why he would love to hear what was recorded on the tapes.

Here what he said to NewsChannel 13’s Dan Levy by watching the video.
