A Rotterdam man is accused of stabbing his 79-year-old mother to death was arraigned Friday in Schenectady County Court.

Patrick Haggerty, 39, is charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the death of Catherine Haggerty.

Police said she had been stabbed in the neck in a domestic incident at Cobblestone Court.
