Rotterdam Police investigating a shots fired incident at a Walmart
The incident happened Saturday afternoon. There were no injuries from the incident.
Rotterdam Police is investigating a shots fired incident at a Walmart on Altamont Ave.
Police said that around 3 p.m. today officers responded to the Walmart at 1320 Altamont Ave for reports of shots being fired.
There are no known injuries from the incident and no Rotterdam Police officers were involved in the shooting.
Police said that the shots were fired outside the store in the parking lot.
Walmart said those shots were fired into the air and the store was on lockdown for an unspecified amount of time.
Walmart providing a statement to NewsChannel 13 that “the safety and security of our customers and associates is our top priority. We are working with law enforcement as they conduct their investigation and will defer any additional questions to them.”
