Russell Sage, Albany College of Pharmacy to merge

Two Capital Region colleges are merging.

Russell Sage College and Albany College of Pharmacy are making the official announcement on Tuesday afternoon. However, they have confirmed the merger to NewsChannel 13.

The campuses will be run under the Russell Sage name, with a total of 4,000 students in Albany, Troy and online.

It will also be the third-largest institution for private education in the Capital Region.

The full merger is expected to be completed in fall 2027.
