Santabarbara proposes oversight on utility fee increases

Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara has proposed a new bill to require legislative approval before any increase in utility charges goes into effect.

Santabarbara says increased inflation and recent hardships on families has made the ability to heat their homes even more essential.

He says this bill would provide a critical layer of protection for taxpayers here in upstate New York.
