Saratoga Springs Police continue probe of substance that sickened five at BOCES

Saratoga Springs Police continue to track down leads in the mysterious substance that sickened five people in a BOCES culinary class last week.
Police have tested the baked goods that made one teacher and four students ill at the same time at the F. Donald Myers Education Center. Investigators tell NewsChannel 13 on Tuesday that the food is now being sent to the Wadsworth Lab in Albany for more sophisticated testing.
Police said all of the students in the class have been cooperating with investigators.
Two people were treated and released from Saratoga Hospital.
A BOCES spokesperson said that deep cleaning by a company that specializes in industrial kitchens took place on Monday and Tuesday. Culinary students are expected to return to their regular classroom on Wednesday.
