Schenectady man charged in Niskayuna road rage shooting
Niskayuna Police have arrested a Schenectady in connection with a road rage shooting.
Police responded to a report of shots fired on Oct. 2 just before 5 p.m. on Troy-Schenectady Road near Lishakill Road.
Khalid Sheffield, 53, was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 10. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm and reckless endangerment.
Niskayuna Police Chief Jordan Kochan credited “outstanding investigative work” in solving the case. Detectives did not have much to go on because there were no phone calls other than a description of the victim’s car and no witnesses.
Sheffield was transported to Schenectady County Jail pending arraignment.
