A Schenectady man has been found guilty of murder and burglary for killing a Pittstown man in 2021.
Kyle Hutchinson, 23, was convicted on Wednesday after a jury trial, according to Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly.
Hutchinson is one of three people charged in connection with the death of 19-year-old Nathaniel Miller in the early morning hours of June 9. Miller was shot and killed during a home invasion on Jay Herrington Road.
Hutchinson, 19-year-old Devin VanPatten and 24-year-old Carol Lewis were arrested in August 2022 following a long investigation.
Police believe it was a targeted attack.
Van Patten has pleaded guilty already and will receive 20 years in state prison. Lewis will be tried at a later date.
Hutchinson will be sentenced on Sept. 27 and faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life.
