Memorial honors missing boy who drowned

A missing boy found dead in Washington County was remembered Monday evening.

A memorial for 6-year-old Onnex Thompson-Hall was held at Carman Park in Schenectady at 8:30 Monday evening.

Police say the young boy’s body was found in a pond, not far from his home in the town of Easton.

State police say his death appears to be accidental, but the investigation is still active.

Onnex, who police say had autism, went missing Sunday morning near the Washington County Fairgrounds.

After a day-long search, state forest rangers found the boy’s body in a pond.
