A family who lost a loved one in the 2018 Schoharie limo crash said they expected Nauman Hussain – the limo company operator – would try to get out of prison.
Samantha Bursese, 24, was an aspiring lawyer and fitness buff. She was one of 20 people killed.
Hussain’s lawyers wanted him out on bail while his conviction was appealed. That request was denied.
Bursese’s parents told NewsChannel 13’s Subrina Dhammi they expected this appeal attempt, and are preparing for Hussain’s parole hearing. That could come in as little as five years.
Learn why they said they weren’t worried when Hussain’s lawyers asked for bail, but are angry, by watching the video of Subrina Dhammi’s story.
