Schuylerville man arrested for DWI in Halfmoon

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Aaron R. Carden, 32, of Schuylerville for a DWI early Thursday morning.

Carden is accused of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, and also operating a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked license at a time when he was intoxicated, said police.

The Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle on Ushers Road at 12:43 a.m. in Halfmoon for failing to maintain its lane and failing to signal a turn.

Police say investigation subsequent to the stop led to Carden’s arrest.

Authorities say Carden was charged with a DWI, first-degree AUO, refusal to take a breath test, illegal signal, and moving from a lane unsafely.

The DWI was upgraded to a class D felony due to him having two previous convictions within the last ten years, said the Sheriff’s Office.

Carden was released on appearance tickets from Clifton Park Town Court pending further proceedings in the Halfmoon Town Court.
