The new year hasn’t dampened the search for missing Schenectady teen Samantha Humphrey.
It’s been about six weeks since the Schenectady teen went missing on Nov. 25. One dedicated searcher was back on the water Thursday.
Larry Andrews has been determined to end the family’s misery — or at least the uncertainty part.
Andrews is a barber by profession. When he’s not cutting his customers’ hair, he’s been out on the Mohawk River almost daily now for six straight weeks, trying to find Samantha.
The Schenectady High School freshman got into an altercation with an ex-boyfriend the night she disappeared. Police believe she most likely wound up in the river.
They have been conducting a large scale search operation, and quite frankly, Andrews is perplexed over why search crews have come up empty so far.
He says he will be out here on his days off from work until the river freezes over.
Hear what he says has been making the search difficult by watching the video of Dan Levy’s story.
