The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Carmela M. DiCicco, 43, of Malta on Friday for assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

Officials say they responded to a fight-in-progress call in Malta on Friday at 1:34 p.m.

Investigation led to the arrest of DeCicco, and she is accused of intentionally causing physical injury to someone else, using a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument, said the Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say she is also accused and charged with possessing the weapon with the intent to use it the same against someone else.

DeCiccio was charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

She was arraigned in Malta Town Court and released on her own recognizance pending further action in the matter.
