Albany Police tell us they are investigating a shooting that happened early Sunday morning at a residence on Jennings Drive near North Second Street.

Police responded around 3:50 a.m. to the residence for reports of a shooting.

Officials say upon arrival, they located and determined a 42-year-old female victim had sustained injury to her arm from shrapnel while inside her home.

The victim’s cause of injury was from shots being fired from outside, into the residence, said police.

Authorities say the investigation remains active and ongoing.
