ShopRite came to an agreement in the summer to close five Capital Region stores – months before the closures were announced in October.

While the locations each had different filings, the deal to close the stores was reached on July 17.

The supermarket chain announced it would be closing stores in October,
leaving more than 500 employees without a job.

Price Chopper announced in November they purchased the assets of former Capital Region ShopRite stores.
