Sinkhole in Troy on 15th Street, police ask to avoid the area

Troy Police have asked motorists to avoid the area of 15th Street between Hutton Street and Hoosick Street due to a large sinkhole identified on Saturday.

They say for public safety reasons, traffic has been closed in all directions at this location.

Police say all motorists are advised to seek alternate routes of travel, and to follow the instructions of traffic officers and personnel on-site.

Authorities say they are diligently working to address the situation and restore normal traffic flow as soon as possible.
