Slingerlands man dies after drowning in Long Lake

The Fourth of July turned tragic after a man drowned in Long Lake.

Witnesses say two men jumped off a dock into the water and one of them went missing.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office says crews began searching the lake after 10 p.m. Thursday night.

Around 9:30 a.m. Friday morning, deputies found the man’s body.

He is 66-year-old Daniel Heenan from Slingerlands.
