Scattered showers return heading into the weekend

Highs climb into the upper 70s today with a period of drier weather with a mix of sun and clouds, before a few spotty showers and thunderstorms return in the afternoon. Some storms may be strong to severe with the main concern being strong wind gusts and hail. Scattered showers and thunderstorms end early tonight. It will be partly cloudy otherwise with lows in the mid to upper 50s.
More rain is likely on Saturday, especially in the afternoon, with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the mid to upper 60s. Like Friday, some storms may be strong to severe with the main concern being strong wind gusts and hail. Sunday will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers as well and highs in the low 60s.
The weather pattern remains unsettled for the first half of next week with scattered showers and a mix of sun and clouds every day.
