State Police: Jefferson woman had over 30 pounds of drugs in Schenectady
New York State Police arrested Cynthia M. Murdock, 36, of Jefferson, on Feb. 29 for allegedly possessing drugs.
Investigation determined that Murdock was traveling to Schenectady with alleged intent to traffic narcotics, said police.
Authorities say Murdock was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
She was found from surveillance detail in Schenectady and discovered to have about thirty pounds of methamphetamine and forty-two grams of cocaine, said State Police.
New York State Police (NYSP) Troop G Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested Murdock after an extensive investigation assisted by Schenectady PD Special Investigations Unit and the NYSP Special Investigations Unit – Electronic Surveillance Unit.
Police say Murdock was arrested on scene, arraigned in Schenectady City Court, and remanded to the Schenectady County Correctional Facility without bail.
State Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
