State Police investigator from Wilton dies from 9/11-related illness

A state police investigator from Wilton has died from an illness working at the World Trade Center site after 9/11.
Nicholas Georgiadis, 52, was assigned to Ground Zero in the aftermath of the attacks.
He joined the state police in 1997, and retired in 2018.
He was last assigned to the Office of Counterterrorism.
Georgeadis is survived by his wife and three kids.
