State police issue 13,000+ tickets during Memorial Day crackdown

State police handed out 13,471 tickets across the state during a DWI and distracted driving crackdown.

That includes 194 people arrested for DWI, along with 3,863 people ticketed for speeding and 373 people ticketed for distracted driving.

The total tickets are a little bit lower than last year’s total of 13,896 tickets during the same period.
