New York State Police are searching for a missing man who went hiking in the North Country.
Investigators learned last week that Leo Dufour of Quebec had come to New York to hike the Allen Mountain Trailhead in Newcomb the day before, and had not been heard from since.
Members of the State Forest Rangers soon began an investigation, and State Police have since joined in the search.
Troopers are now asking the public for any information that could help them find Dufour. He is described as 5 ft., 7 in. tall with brown hair and weighing 150 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a black coat, black shell pants, a tan winter hat, a black backpack, and reflective sunglasses.
Anyone with information can call State Police at 518-873-2778.
