Students write letters to Santa to benefit Make-A-Wish
Students at Van Schaick Grade School in Cohoes celebrated their 16th year of writing letters to Santa Claus to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The tradition is part of the Macy’s “Believe” campaign. For every letter that is dropped off at Macy’s, $2 is donated to the foundation.
The children decorate the school as part of the tradition and this year’s theme is “New York for the Holidays,” which highlights three regions of the state – the Adirondacks, New York City and Western New York.
Here more about what the school enjoys about this initiative by watching the video.
