A recent study from the University of Wisconsin’s County Health Rankings Report. It found nearly one in four people, 24%, drink heavily in Saratoga County. That’s 5% above the national average and 6% above the state average.
The study found Rensselaer County was second. Warren County came in fourth.
The Saratoga Springs bar scene is very active, but has recently come under fire amid violent incidents near the bars on Broadway.
Other counties in the state with high drinking rates included Saratoga, Warren, Rensselaer and Herkimer counties.
