Suspected serial killer arrested

Now to breaking news overnight, a suspected serial killer has been caught. Police believe he may be responsible for several shootings in recent months.

This all unfolded in Stockton, California.

Investigators say they got a tip and stopped a man early Saturday morning. That man was 43-year-old Wesley Brownlee.

Police say they found him carrying a gun, dressed in black and had a mask around his neck at the time of his arrest.

Police believe at the time, he was looking for his next victim.

In the past year at least 6 people were killed and another wounded. The crimes are believed to be connected.

While a motive remains unknown, officials say his patterns were consistent and they are certain they stopped another killing.

The suspect is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday.
