News Channel 13 caught up with Steve Ross, the owner of Hornets’ Nest, who shared how the sport is impacting the community in a big way.
“We’re all about creating an environment where players can challenge themselves, work together, and just have fun,” Ross said. “But beyond that, paintball is a great way to keep kids engaged and out of trouble. We’ve worked with a lot of young people, helping them build discipline, teamwork, and confidence through the sport.”

Beyond the casual fun, Hornets Nest has also trained national championship-winning teams, making it a hub for serious competitors. Tamara even got to test her skills against some of the best players—though she quickly learned that paintball requires a mix of strategy, agility, and a little bit of bravery! But there is a low-impact version for those who are looking for pure recreational fun with or without kids.
