Troy man gets 25 years to life for killing uncle

A Troy man was sentenced on Friday to 25 years to life in prison for killing his uncle on Easter Sunday last year in Albany.

Isaiah Anderson, 38, was convicted in May of second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon following a jury trial. Anderson shot Alonzo Ford, 60, on April 9, 2023, in his Morris Street home.

Investigators have not commented on a motive for the shooting.
