Troy man pleads guilty to attempted robbery

A Troy man has admitted to trying to rob a person in Guilderland who was lured through an online dating app.

William Camino, 19, pleaded guilty in Albany County Court Monday to first-degree attempted robbery. Camino worked with another person to rob the person on Western Avenue, according to the Albany County District Attorney’s Office.

Camino showed a loaded 9mm pistol during the robbery.

He faces 10 years in prison when sentenced on Aug. 23.
