Two dead, 12 hurt in Pittstown crash

Two people are dead after a crash in Pittstown. Twelve others were taken to the hospital.

A car on Route 7 sideswiped one car and hit another car head on around 1:30 Sunday afternoon, investigators said. The crash happened in the area of the Tomhannock Reservoir, according to the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office.

The two people who died were in a car from New Jersey, said investigators. The other cars were from New Hampshire.

No other information will be released at this time, investigators said.
