Two firefighters sustain minor injuries following fire in Schenectady Saturday morning

Schenectady Fire Department tells us there was a fire Saturday morning at 1525 Avenue B that left two firefighters with minor injuries.
Assistant Chief David Massaro says crews responded to the scene around 6 a.m.
He says the fire was contained to the attic of the 2.5-story home.
Crews were able to contain the fire in about an hour.
Massaro says the three occupants of the home were all safely evacuated.
Two firefighters on the scene sustained minor injuries. They were treated in the Ellis Hospital emergency room and released, said officials.
Massaro adds that there was some roof damage to the structure.
