Two people charged in Albany shots fired call
Two people, including a juvenile, have been charged in connection with an Albany shots fired incident from July.
Police arrested 29-year-old Jaimeir Smith and a 16-year-old suspect in connection with an incident that took place on July 25 at around 6:40 p.m. Officers responded to the area of South Pearl Street and Madison Avenue for reports of shots fired.
There were no reports of injuries.
Smith has been charged with attempted murder, hindering prosecution and one count of criminal facilitation. He was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
The 16-year-old, whose name will not be released due to his age, has been charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
He was arraigned in Albany County Family Court and sent to the Capital District Juvenile Secure Detention Facility.
