Two people still hospitalized from Friday’s fatal bus crash
Two people remain hospitalized from Friday’s bus crash on the Northway in Lake George that killed one person.
The crash happened at about 12:45 p.m. A total of 23 people were on a FlixBus run by Skyway Coach Line that was heading from Montreal and heading south when it rolled over near Exit 23.
One person was killed. One person was airlifted to Albany Medical Center and is still there on Saturday. Twelve patients were taken to Glens Falls Hospital. One person is still there and everyone else has been released, Warren County spokesman Don Lehman said Saturday.
Eight of the passengers took a bus to New York City to continue their trip, according to Lehman. The remainder stayed at the Fort William Henry Hotel, which put them up for the night and gave them meals. The Holiday Inn in Lake George also assisted with meals.
The remaining passengers are in the process of making arrangements to continue to their destination.
Lehman said the Canadian Embassy is assisting passengers whose passports were damaged or destroyed in the crash.
State Police did not release any new information on Saturday.
