The UAlbany student hit by a dirt bike back in April continues to make progress in her recovery.

Alexa Kropf has been at a rehabilitation center closer to her Long Island home since leaving Albany Medical Center on May 23. She is still unable to place weight on either of her feet because of pelvis fractures and a rod in her lower leg.

The only movement she’s been able to do is from her bed to a wheelchair or a chair, according to her family. While she’s able to hold a conversation, she still has trouble finding the right words.

Austin Breyette, 25, of Watervliet is accused of striking Kropf with his dirt bike on Hudson Avenue in Albany on April 26 and leaving the scene. He has pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree assault, leaving the scene of an incident without reporting and tampering with physical evidence.
