UAlbany student starts greeting card business with Caribbean flair
A University at Albany student is embracing her culture through her own greeting card business.
Savannah St. Aimee, who is born and raised in Brooklyn, is a business administration major with a concentration in marketing and management.
Her personalized greeting card business, Best Wishes Vanna, was born from a desire to see Caribbean traditions, expressions and identity reflected in the greeting card industry. It’s a space where such representation has long been lacking, she said.
Some of those cards are based off Caribbean music, artists and song lyrics.
St. Aimee would like to one day expand to maybe wedding invitations and custom orders, she said.
