Matt Sloane is in his sixth year as the principal of the junior/senior high school at Middleburgh Central School and he’s being recognized for some of the unique ways he has connected with staff and students, while implementing changes to the educational process. Sloane has been named New York State Secondary Principal of the Year. He goes through the learning experience by shadowing students in class and he has developed a more consistent language used by teachers to students. Sloane will receive the award in early May in Saratoga Springs.
