Victims of Independence Day violence in stable condition

The victims of a stabbing and a shooting on Independence Day remain in stable condition.

Albany Police continue investigating a string of violence around Independence Day.

Everyone involved is in stable condition, investigators said.

Two men were taken to the hospital after police said they stabbed each other in the 200 block of Washington Avenue around 11 p.m. A 33-year-old and a 37-year-old had cuts to their arms.

Six teenagers were hurt in a shooting that took place around midnight on July 4 at a home in the 600 block of Myrtle Avenue. Shots were fired in the backyard and in a nearby street.
